The PreNup Shoot

Prenup Shoot or Engagement Shoot (how fancy noh?hahaha) - what to do? how to do it? where to do it?

we'll be doing ours on November.. so we still have time to think of concepts, style. and find a good location to shoot.

Para syang "dry run" ng what we'll be doing on the big day.. maybe it would help us be comfortable infront of the camera and with our team of photographers from ImagineNation lead by no other than Toto Villaruel. : )) magfifeeling artista kami for a day!

Now, couples are more creative in prenup shoot - some  couples have their concept based on what they both like, what describes them the best or something out of the box.. yung parang hindi mo gagawin sa noramal na buhay..hahaha. There are so many ideas like this..

This prenup shoot is by Rabbit Hole Creatives & Nelwin Uy Photography

Or you can opt something out of the box

Let Them Eat Cake!

Cakes are one of the highlights in the wedding reception. But! they are expensive and both of you will just eat a piece of it! sayang naman!

this is a beautiful cake.. but! mahal..
Photo by: Zoe Clark Cakes (USA)

A cake like this covered with fondant will cost you Php 8,000 and up. That's a big amount of money! (kuripot?!) hahaha. and just the bottom layer is edible.. huwwaatt?!!? anech? for your eyes only!

Cupcakes is as expensive as a tiered cake! mas mahirap and ang liliit! you have to give this a way per person, hindi naman pupwede share noh!?

Here are ways to cut down the cost but will still be as delicious & definitely will be a hit on your reception. But you'll still be able to share with your guests. : )

Let your guests EAT aleternative and inexpensive CAKE! : )

Why not have a cake buffet?! all edible and so pretty! you can have all the flavors and frosting you like or you can buy your favorite cakes from different bakeshops. Pwede!

Or Pies & Donuts? loovvvee!! Pie's in Gateu de Manille or Mom & Tina's are good.. or you can just buy donuts from Krispy Kreme or J.Co Donuts in different flavors and stack in a beutiful cake stand! Pwede din! : ))

A Belgian Waffle Buffet (Breakfast wedding why not?!) Just buy a waffle maker (so inexpensive) and you can still use it at home after the wedding!

Photo from: Artisan Cake Company (USA)

Cookie Buffet! as a cookie baker, i would love to have this on my wedding (but.. ayoko naman mastress at nagbabake pa before the wedding!) if you can't bake, as your mom or your relatives and friends who does! or just buy cookies at the supermarket and place in jars like this!
Pwede!!

Finding "The Dress" - Monique Lhuillier

I have to admit that looking for the perfect dress is not easy!

Back then I see my self wearing a structured white dress.. then when ruffles became the "in thing"  i wanted to wear one, then I wanted to be a little rebelious and wear something short and sweet.. then I changed my mind and wanted something vintage, lace, drop waist.. mermaid cut etc. and then i wanted to wear something like in the 50's, with multiple layers of petticoat.. it never ends!! Babae eh! pabago-bago ang isip. : )

Now that I'm really planning my "real" wedding. (not just dreaming anymore!), Kelangan ng humanap ng "THE" Dress!

I'm not considering buying off the rack (although it saves time, effort) parang I really want to experience having my dress done by a good designer and the dress just made for me. : ),  walang katerno, walang katulad. After all, it will be the best and the most beautiful dress that I'll be wearing in my entire life.

So let me take you to my road in finding the right peg, for "The Dress".

MONIQUE LHUILLIER - I won't be giving introductions about her, everybody knows her! What I like about her, thar her dresses are dainty, dreamy, soft and girly.

Here are some of my favorite Monique Lhuillier dress.

soft tulle.. and silk ribbon.. so dainty!
gorgeous veil with lace trim
layers of tulle.. but i like it in white
just so beautiful..

We have to get him - Toto Villaruel

After a month of being engaged, on the very first wedding fair for the year 2012.. we booked him! He's our very first supplier! oha!

Very talented.. and promising young photographer = MY NON-NEGOTIABLE.

If most of the bride's non-negotiable detail in their own wedding is their wedding dress designer, make-up artist or the venue.. mine is our wedding photographer Toto Villaruel.

I knew in my heart that he will be my choice. Yes! you read it right, "My choice!". I've been a fan of his works for the longest time.. (since, hindi pa ata ako engaged at pinaplano ko lang pansarili ang pangarap ko kasal) I have to get him when i get married. Eventually, I shared it to my then boyfriend now my fiance to visit Toto's blog. Finally!! He said YES! (pero feeling ko pa din, malaki part dun na ipinapipilitan ko talaga na dapat si Toto! : )) Now, my fiance follows him in twitter, instagram, and facebook! ang lakas ng impluwensya ko. hihihi. : )

I'm a big fan of new breed of photographers. I believe that beautiful photographs are not captured by "mamahaling gadget" o at pabonggahan ng camera.. It is a gift to have the eye for beautiful things, to capture that magic moment is talent not all photographer can do. And keeping it "classy" is what i really like about his style. no fuss,  he keeps it pure & beautiful.

One of our biggest splurge. We know will be all worth it.

After all.... we only get married once.. but beautiful memories photographed will be for a lifetime.

Here are some of the works of Toto Villaruel.

He's really good in capturing "moments"

I'm very excited.
